AFIX Tracker 4 with Palms
The leading expert in the field of palm print comparison and identification was part of the design team for AFIX Tracker 4 with Palms. Matching accuracy, ease of use, and investigative power are unmatched by any other system.

Direct Interface with Most Digital Cameras
Now AFIX Tracker can import latent fingerprint images directly from a digital camera. Then a new scaling tool makes it as easy as two clicks to set the correct scaling and resolution of the latent so it can be searched accurately against all other images on the database.

System Specifications

AFIX®Tracker v4.3 with Palms

Premium Support Plan (2 yrs)
Includes technical support and updates.

Hardware Overview
(See below for detailed list of equipment.)
Dell Dimension 8250 Series System 512MB / 120GB
Epson Perfection 2450 scanner (FBI approved optional)
Epson Stylus C80 inkjet printer
APC Back-UPS 500VA uninterruptible power supply

Installation and Training
Configuration of your hardware and software.
2 days training at your site with 2-3 people.
Build start-up database
Input, extract (or plot) and edit 500 cards representing the most recent known actives in your jurisdiction.

Key Features of the System

General
True minutiae-based AFIS -- Automated Fingerprint and Palmprint Identification System. Runs in Windows 2000, XP, or NT4. Networkable and multi-user capable. Allows exchange of data with other Tracker systems with EFTS. Provides filing of latent fingerprint images by crime scene.

Scanning Ten-print cards
Scans standard 10-print cards (rolled impressions and/or plain impressions) in a single scan. Allows replacement of poor-quality rolled impressions with corresponding plain impressions during the scanning process. Note about Live Scan: Interface with almost any brand live-scan device is technically possible with our system. We currently have installed sites using AFIX Tracker with live scnas from the following manufacturers:
Visionics (formerly DBI),
Crossmatch Technologies,
Identix,
Sagem/ Morpho.

Scanning Latents
Scans latent fingerprint images from almost any source, including tape lifts, hinge lifts, documents and color or b/w photographs. Note: Direct interface with many digital cameras is also possible for importing crime scene latents.

Personal Info/Criminal History
Allows (but does not require) entry of associated personal data and criminal history information, including Originating Agency I.D., Local I.D./Reference, County I.D., State I.D., FBI Reference No., SSN, Active Warrants and Cautions. System provides pop-up menu selection of all physical attribute descriptors.

Fingerprint Processing
Extracts minutiae from rolled, plain and latent impressions.
Automatically identifies core and deltas.
Automatically provides line counts.
Classifies fingerprints in both NCIC and Henry classification.
Allows manual editing of minutiae.
Allows manual intervention at all times during classification.

Search Engine
Provides search capability for all possible combinations: 10-print to 10-print / 10-print to latent / Latent to 10-print / Latent to latent.
Searches latents and 10-prints through a full 360 degree rotation.
Searches both latents and 10-prints without defining the core.
A llows searching of fragments or partial prints.

Allows thorough database searches with no criteria limitations.
Searches can be limited by biographical data, classification or degree of rotation at operators discretion.
Provides printable reports of search results.

Comparison
When a possible match is found, Tracker provides a stereo view to allow side-by-side comparison of fingerprint images. Rotation of compared fingerprint images into similar orientation is automatic. The same scaling of both prints is automatic. Zoom in on one print, they both zoom in. It draws comparison lines between matching minutiae points on both prints for easy recognition of matching areas.

New Features

  • Direct import from digital cameras.
  • Support for a growing list of live-scan devices.
  • Higher levels of automation in plotting minutiae.
  • Fully automated plotting of minutiae with manual editing possible at every step.
  • Faster scanning of cards with custom ten-print card templates and automatic placement of scan selection areas around fingerprint images.
  • Import / Export with EFTS/NIST.
  • Multiple Record Capability
